EDJ is the first brand registered in Texas back in 1807 by the Empresario Martin DeLeon who settled the middle Texas Coast through a Spanish Land Grant called DeLeon Colony. DeLeons goal was to honor God and to produce Quality Beef for Texas and the USA.

Today we continue his legacy through Empresario Quality Beef headquartered on the historic Powderhorn Ranch on the Texas Gulf Coast. Our cattle still wear the EDJ brand today. for years we have worked to bring the ranch back to native prairie where these native coastal grasses bring Quality forage for grass fed beef.
